Clays for Kids
Childhood Cancer Canada’s Clays for Kids, presented by National Bank Financial Markets is an all-day, outdoor clay-shooting experience that raises critical funds to support childhood cancer families nationally as well as locally through partner charities, Leucan in Quebec, and Kids Cancer Care in Alberta.
Since 2016, Clays for Kids / Pigeon d’Argile pour les Enfants tournaments, in Ontario, and Quebec, have successfully raised more than $2 million in support of critical lifesaving research and programming for childhood cancer families in Canada.
Now Childhood Cancer Canada is extending this vital tournament into Alberta beginning 2024 to extend our support for children in this province.
Through the success and piqued interest of this event series in Ontario and Quebec, Childhood Cancer Canada will launch Clays for Kids Alberta in 2024 to increase our family support in the province of Alberta.
In the past two years alone, we have been successful in raising a combined total of $ 1 million, and in 2024, with three provinces on board, our goal is to reach $ 1 million to support childhood cancer families across the country, while providing hyper-local support in Ontario, Quebec and Alberta.
Why Clay-shooting?
As a national charitable organization that is focused on raising funds and awareness for paediatric oncology, which is considered a rare disease, we strive to identify and create unique event experiences that help highlight the rarity of childhood cancer and the complex challenges it brings to families and communities across the country.
As an Olympic, leisure, and competitive sport, clay shooting is safe, exciting, challenging, fun, and growing in popularity. Our guests continue to express their appreciation for this special event that creates networking, engagement, and cultivating opportunities for all involved. Hitting the clay target requires skill, timing, focus, and hand-eye coordination. Safety is our main priority at all events. We provide group coaches and instill a firm set of safety rules to ensure all safety measures are met.
